Parent Literacy Tips

Write and Share Stories - Encourage your child to write stories and share them with family members.

Build Vocabulary - Introduce new words and discuss their meanings during and after reading.

Connect Books to Movies - Read books that have been adapted into movies, then have a family movie night.

ILearn Starts Next Week

3rd-8th grade will be taking the ILEARN assessment starting next week. We do not want to create undo stress but we do want to get the most accurate levels possible.

Parents can:

  • Encourage your child to do his/her best
  • Get plenty of sleep - At least 8 hours
  • Make sure your child’s device is fully charged
  • Encourage breakfast - We have free breakfast for everyone
  • Arrive to school on time without rushing - Around 7:30AM
  • Let them know how much you love them
  • Remain calm
