Financial Assistance (FA) is available on a case by case basis for families that qualify for free or reduced lunches. Please apply for FA before the sports season begins. Generally, it is a requirement for those who take advantage of FA to volunteer in the concession stand or assist with ticket sales at home game contests during the girls/boys basketball and volleyball seasons. St. Monica CYO is completely self funded through sport registration fees, therefore, it is appreciated that you pay as much of the fee amount as possible.

St. Monica CYO Eligibility Requirements: Students must maintain an average 2.0 gpa or 77% or above in all Core Classes (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies and Theology), and have NO failing grade in any subject, in order to participate on our CYO teams. If a student drops below this requirement, they must complete the work necessary to get their grade back above failing.  Students who do not fulfill the above requirements may not play in games. Grades will be checked weekly. As much as we want to provide athletics to our students, their academic performance is more important and will come before any sport they play in at St. Monica.

Grade Checks: Grades based on Monday morning will determine eligibility for players. If a teacher updates the grades during the week and the new grade meets eligibility, the player is allowed to participate in the game in the middle of the week even before the next grade check on Monday. If a student’s grades meet academic standards on Monday, but their grade falls during the week, they remain eligible until the next Monday grade check. If an assignment is late a teacher is not required to grade an assignment as soon as it is turned in. Teachers will do their best to accommodate a student, but it is a student’s responsibility to turn in assignments on time. It is possible some late assignments might not be graded before a game if the teacher does not have time.
