Christmas Pageant & Choir
Rehearsal for the Christmas pageant and Christmas choir, both of which will be part of the 4pm Christmas Eve Mass, will be the next two Saturdays, December 14 and 21, from 8:30 to 10am. Pageant will be in the sanctuary and choir in room 5. Interested families can just come to rehearsal and need not sign up in advance.

Winter Formal Dance
The middle school Gingerbread Winter Formal Dance will take place on December 13 from 6:00-8:30 in the school gym. Students in grades 6-8 may attend. Cost to enter is $3. Please contact Ms. Wilcox, a.wilcox@smsindy.org, for more information.

The Nutcracker - Youth Ballet
Come support Lucy Carr in the Metropolitan Youth Ballet's Production of The Nutcracker at the STAR Bank Performing Arts Center in Zionsville on December 20-22. The MYB Nutcracker is a family friendly holiday tradition, including access to the Nutcracker Boutique and festive photo opportunities. Lucy is performing in all four shows as a Party Girl, Flower in Waltz of the Flowers, Snow Flurry, Arabian Dancer, and as the Lieutenant in the Saturday evening and Sunday shows. 2nd annual MLK Day of Youth Service
This free, family-friendly event will be held on January 20, 2025 at Madam Walker Legacy Center in downtown Indianapolis. We will have multiple stations set up where kids ages 2-12 (along with their grown-ups) can contribute to their community in meaningful ways in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Activities will include: assembling cleaning kits for recently housed neighbors, making breakfast kits for kids experiencing food insecurity, creating sun catchers for senior friends to brighten their day, designing “Use Your Voice” posters, as well as a dream catcher reflection craft. Parent & Caregiver Literacy Tips
- Make Reading Social - Organize reading play dates where children can share and discuss books.
- Incorporate Dramatic Reading - Add excitement by using different voices for characters during reading.
- Use Props - Bring stories to life with props related to the book

- West Deanery Night Friday, December 13th starting at 6:00 pm. Students will get pizza, a chance to enter into a raffle and knockout during halftime. Must enter to participate in the knockout game.
