Current COVID-19 Policy for Saint Monica School 

These procedures are based on current recommendations from IDOH and our nurses. 

• Masks are optional for students and staff.
• Students and staff with COVID like symptoms should stay home and perform a test. 
  • Symptoms include:
    • Fever/chills
    • Cough 
    • Shortness of breath
    • Fatigue
    • Body aches
    • Headache 
    • Loss of taste or smell 
    • Sore throat 
    • Congestion
    • Nausea/vomiting 
    • Diarrhea 
• We do not currently have tests in the office Click HERE for COVID Testing Options 
• If a student or staff member tests positive they must stay home and isolate for 5 days and can return on day 6. They will need to wear a mask for 5 more days while at school. 
• Close contacts from home can return to school as long as they are symptom free. They will also need to wear a mask for 5 days.
• The IDOH no longer recommends identifying or quarantining close contacts in schools regardless of vaccination status.

As a reminder please keep your student home if they have experienced vomiting, diarrhea, or fever. They can return to school once they are symptom free for 24 hours without aid of medication.
