Eagle Update December 10, 2020

We continue to prepare for the birth of Christ this Advent Season. Throughout the season we have various prayers and styles of prayer. Today I would like your family to pray the rosary. We have a video of our staff and students praying the rosary and you can pray along with us. Take some time each day to devote specifically to prayer. CLICK HERE for our video rosary. May God bless and keep you and your family well.

We invite you to join us either in person or virtually for the 7:30PM or Midnight Mass Friday, December 11 in celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Click Here for more information on this feast day. You will find us virtually on Facebook @saintmonicaindy  or @SMSSchoolIndy

Nurse Notes

We have had 7 positive COVID-19 cases at St. Monica School since we opened on August 12. We have had 0 positive cases due to close contact. Through our procedures and policies, we have provided a space with no known spread.  Please keep your children safe through this time of eLearning by continuing to mask, sanitize, and distance. If someone has symptoms, isolate and get them tested. We will continue to provide COVID-19 guidance through this period of eLearning. If you have any questions (symptoms, quarantine, testing, etc.) please contact us at nurse@smsindy.org and we will guide you through steps to remain safe and healthy.

COVID Positive?

If your St. Monica student tests positive for COVID-19 during virtual learning, please still send their positive test results to the school nurses at nurse@smsindy.org.  When we return to in-person learning having had a positive COVID-19 test will prevent your child from needing to quarantine for the next 3 months.

Quarantine Changes?

The CDC recently approved some changes to the length of quarantine for close contacts of COVID-19 positive individuals.  These shortened quarantine periods still require strict mask wearing, frequent hand washing, daily symptom monitoring and strict 6 foot distancing at all times.  Because we cannot guarantee 6 foot distancing of all students at all times we will continue to follow the 14 day quarantine guidelines as we have been all year.
