Eagle Update October 26, 2021

Picture Retake Day

Picture retake day is Thursday, October 28th. This is for students that need retakes and students and staff that missed the first picture day. CLICK HERE to order photos. Students wishing to have a replacement package printed, must return their original picture package on retake day.

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat is Friday, October 29th from 6-8. Come check out all the decorated trunks and pick up some candy, hot dogs, chips, and water. Entry is $2 per car and we gladly accept additional donations. This is a drive through event.

Costume Day

Join in the fun on Friday, October 29th and wear a costume to school. Costumes should be appropriate for school and include a Covid compliant mask for the health and safety of all. Costume masks are not appropriate. Please leave all accessories and costume masks at home. Let’s make it a fun but safe day. Students need to be able to participate in all school activities with their costumes on. Inflatable costumes and fairy wings would probably not work for a full day of school. Wands and weapons are accessories and not permitted.

Exposition and Confession

We are  excited to announce that every Friday, starting November 12th, we will have exposition and confession for an hour after Friday Mass has concluded. When Mass has concluded, Whichever priest is offering the Mass will expose the Blessed Sacrament at the end of Mass and Fr. John and Fr. Vinny will both hear confessions. One class will be assigned per hour.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

We are going to have a Thanksgiving food drive again this year from November 8th-19th. We will collect items that will go into a basket and be given out to 75 families in need through St. Vincent de Paul. You will get a message about the items each grade level is collecting. This aligns with our Catholic Social Teaching: Option for the Poor and Vulnerable as we are called to put the needs of the poor and vulnerable first.

Parent Support

We need substitute teachers. No experience necessary. Please email Mr. Schommer e.schommer@smsindy.org if you would like to be on the list.
