Taize Service September 30th

Our Taize service at St. Monica will be held on Monday, September 30, at 7pm. Students in the MS Choir are required to be there at 6:30 to prepare. The service is a time of prayer, reflective silence, and readings, and will be led by our students in the MS choir. Traditionally the service is not led by any particular leader, but this has been a project taken on by our choir to learn about the worship style, learn the chants, and facilitate the readings.
Taizé prayer is the creation of a monastic community in Taizé, France, founded in the 1940s by a Swiss man known as Brother Roger. The brothers emphasize service and ecumenicalism, particularly reconciliation between divided peoples and divided Christians.
