Eagle Update September 24, 2020

Confirmation is a sacrament of initiation in which young adults become full members of the faith. This sacrament is called Confirmation because the faith given in Baptism is now confirmed. During Baptism, parents and godparents make promises to renounce Satan and believe in God and the Church on the member’s behalf. At Confirmation, the member renews those same promises, this time speaking for himself/herself.

Please join us in congratulating our newly confirmed. 58 young adults confirmed their faith on Tuesday at the cathedral. We have another 60 entering the sacrament of confirmation in 2 weeks. This is a great time in our church to have so many youth entering. We need to hear Christ through their voices to continue to recognize the strength and support of God in our lives. Thank you.
