Grades, Chess, Karate, and More January 7,2021

We have completed the first week back from Christmas Break. This time has been filled with praying, relearning procedures, and recalling our academic levels. Kindness is rampant throughout the building. Thank you for developing the characteristics of kindness to others. We welcomed new staff and students to our community with open arms this week. As I walked through the building each day I saw many supportive and caring interactions. We begin NWEA, WIDA, and ACRE assessments next week. Please ensure that your child is rested and ready to learn. We will do the rest. Remember we offer free breakfast and lunch for all students.

Please pray for our sub and alumni parent, Fred Green. He is back in the hospital and needs our prayers for healing.

Health Safety - COVID

Your family keeps our community safe. Here is what you can do:

  • CLICK HERE and go through the checklist every morning
  • Email nurse@smsindy.org before coming to school if any symptoms are present in any family members
  • Wear a mask when in the community
  • Wash your hands multiple times a day
  • Use hand sanitizer before and after handling anything communal
  • Vaccinate everyone 5 years old and older - Pfizer Boosters are now approved for ages 12 and up

We want to remain in-person. This is where your child learns best. We can not do it without your participation. Do not send your kids to school when you have not followed these procedures. It puts us all at risk for eLearning.

Vision and Hearing screenings are January 20th. If you would like your child tested please contact nurse@smsindy.org .
