Move-a-thon - Raised $4538 out of a $5500 goal

It's never too late to give. Where does PTO's fundraising money go?

• Nearly 100% of fundraised money goes directly to supporting the school community
• Support of PTO Community Events (Trunk-or-Treat, Fall Family Fun Night, Trivia Night, Carnival of Fun, Pancake Breakfasts)
• School Spirit (House T-shirts)
• Teacher & Staff Appreciation throughout the year
• Partnerships with Student Council, School Commission, CYO, Knights of Columbus
• School needs (volunteer software)
• Shanette Gibbs 8th Grade Leadership Award (includes $1000 high school scholarship)

PTO is seeking both leadership and regular volunteers for 2026-2027!

From our PTO President, Ruth Wolff:

I have served as President of St. Monica PTO for the past two years, following active involvement a couple of years earlier. It has been a pleasure getting to know so many St. Monica families and staff through this experience. PTO is a group of imperfect people who believe in the good work of our school community. My time in PTO leadership is coming to an end, and while we have a strong core, it's a very small group. PTO seeks:

• New leadership team members to work alongside the leadership team member who will be continuing next school year
• Event organizers
• Social media manager
• Regular, reliable event volunteers

Shanette Gibbs Leadership Award

The Shanette Gibbs Memorial Leadership Award is named for the late Shanette Wright-Gibbs who passed away in August of 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a consummate leader, always willing to step up and help wherever she was needed. Shanette valued the PTO Leadership Award and loved serving on the selection committee because she knew how important strong leadership qualities are in our young people.

PTO had the opportunity to interview candidates for the Shanette Gibbs Memorial Leadership Award. Candidates were nominated by middle school teachers. The winner of the $1000 scholarship will be announced at the 8th Grade Mass and Graduation on May 27, but we would like to thank and congratulate all who completed the process and interviewed with PTO on May 4:
